If it is safe you should always asses the damage after a storm.

After a storm it is always important to evaluate the damage, if any, that has occurred. With heavy rain and winds comes trees breaking and falling on roofs, windows or vehicles. A storm can also collapse a wall or crack the foundation allowing water to seep into your home in areas you may not be aware of.

Storms can really take a toll on our houses and it is best to keep a very detailed inventory and photographs of the damage that was caused. If it is safe to walk around your home and property it is extremely smart to make a detailed list of all the damage as well as pictures.
