Backed Up Sewers on Labor Day Weekend

9/16/2017 (Permalink)

Removing Standing Water

Sewers backing up have kept SERVPRO employees busy this Labor Day weekend. The common culprit has been clogged main sewer lines which doesn’t allow the waste water to run into the sewer.

The waste water will then start to back up into the lowest point in your sewer line such has a basement bathroom. As you can image the smell is over powering and damage can be extensive. Sewer water is Category 3 water which means the materials it affects must be removed.

hat can mean flooring, sub-flooring, cabinets, trim, and drywall. If you don’t know the status of your main line, it’s worth the time and money to have a company come out and ensure that your drain lines are in working order.
